QS presented its actuel Subject Ranking in March 2020, painting a positive picture about Hungarian higher education institutions. After the previous year’s 40 rankings, 58 domestic universities have been ranked this time. With 21 new releases, there are only 3 cases that left out from this year’s ranking, two for Szeged and one for Corvinus: the former relates to arts and humanities discipline, and within that to the linguistics subject, the latter to natural sciences. In addition to new entrances, QS’s subject ranking have resulted in not only a growing number of domestic institutions being ranked, but more and more disciplines being covered (such as psychology, chemical engineering, or civil engineering). There are as many stagnant cases as position improvement (17-17), and only three cases of loss of position (public service, natural science, mathematics).
